Week 11: Spiritual Growth

Theme Verse:

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
— 2 Peter 3:18 (NIV)

Welcome & Intentional Start

Let’s enter this time with a desire to grow deeper in our walk with Christ.

Opening Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for saving us and inviting us into a life of transformation. Help us to grow in Your grace and in the knowledge of who You are. Give us a hunger for Your Word and a desire to become more like You each day. In Your name, amen.

Worship

These songs and Scripture passages encourage growth and surrender:

  • “More Like Jesus” – Passion

  • “Open the Eyes of My Heart” – Paul Baloche

  • Psalm 1:1–3 – "They are like a tree planted by streams of water..."

Let your worship reflect a willingness to be shaped and nourished by God.

Scripture Reading

Start with the theme verse, 2 Peter 3:18.
For deeper reflection, read 2 Peter 1:3–11, which outlines the steps of spiritual growth and how to be effective and fruitful in your faith.

Discussion & Reflection

Think about or talk through these questions:

  1. What does spiritual growth look like in your life right now?

  2. In what ways can you pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus?

  3. What habits or practices help you stay rooted in grace and truth?

Prayer Time

Use this time to ask God to deepen your walk with Him.

Prayer Prompts:

  • Thank God for how far He’s brought you in your faith.

  • Ask for guidance in the areas where you want to grow.

  • Pray for the discipline and hunger to keep seeking Him daily.

Breaking Bread (Optional)

If taking communion this week:

Reflect on how Christ’s sacrifice has opened the way for your spiritual growth. As you eat and drink, recommit to walking closely with Him and maturing in your faith.

Challenge for the Week

Choose one spiritual habit to focus on this week: prayer, Bible reading, worship, or service.

Write down this goal:
“This week, I will grow by... [your chosen habit].”

Closing Thought

“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 1:6

May you continue growing in grace, rooted in Christ, and flourishing in faith.
