For God So Loved: The Message of Love We All Need

There is no greater love than the love God has shown us through His Son, Jesus Christ. And there is no greater gift than the one He freely offers: eternal life.

Let’s walk through the simple, powerful message of salvation as revealed in Scripture. This is the Good News—the Gospel.

We’ve All Fallen Short

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23

Every one of us has failed to meet God’s perfect standard. We have all sinned, and on our own, we are unworthy of the gift of eternal life. Even our best efforts cannot save us.

But God Loves Us Anyway

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8

Even in our sin, God made a way. Jesus lived a sinless life, but took on our punishment. He died in our place so that we could be forgiven and restored.

Eternal Life Is a Gift

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 6:23

Sin earns death. But God offers life through Jesus. It’s not something we can earn—it’s a gift we simply receive through faith.

No Condemnation for Those in Christ

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” —Romans 8:1

When we are in Christ, we are no longer condemned. We are free from fear and shame, and we can live a new life, led by the Holy Spirit.

Believe and Confess

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” —Romans 10:9

Jesus is Lord. He has the authority to save because He conquered death. If you believe this and declare it, you will be saved.

Don’t Wait

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” —2 Corinthians 6:2b

You don’t have to wonder if it’s too late or if you’re good enough. Today is the day. Turn to Jesus now.

A Simple Prayer of Salvation

If you're ready to place your trust in Jesus, you can pray something like this:

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I cannot cleanse myself of my sins. But You, Lord, died and were raised to life to cover the penalty for my sins. I humbly ask You to forgive me, Lord. I turn from my sins and place my trust in You. Thank You for saving me and for the gift of eternal life in Heaven. Amen.

A New Creation

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” —2 Corinthians 5:17

If you have placed your trust in Jesus and confessed Him as Lord, welcome to the family of God. You are forgiven. You are new. You are His.

Final Word: God So Loved

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16

Trust in Him. Let Him guide you. Live for His glory. And on the day you stand before the Lord, you can rest in the promise that He will welcome you home.
