Introducing the Weekly Gathering Posts: Worship at Home, Made Simple

Not everyone feels at home in a traditional church building. Some are in a season of transition, some are healing, and others are simply seeking something deeper and more personal. That’s why I created the Weekly Gathering posts.

These simple, Scripture-based guides are designed to help you worship at home—whether you're alone, with your spouse, your children, or a small group of friends.

What Is a Weekly Gathering?

A Weekly Gathering is a structured-yet-flexible worship guide that includes:

  • A welcome & prayer to open your time with intention

  • A theme for the week grounded in Scripture

  • Suggested worship songs or psalms

  • A main passage to read and reflect on

  • Thoughtful discussion or journaling questions

  • Prayer time and optional Communion

  • A weekly challenge to help you live out your faith

Each post is simple, adaptable, and meant to help you stay connected to Jesus outside the walls of a traditional church.

Who Are These For?

These Gathering posts are for anyone who:

  • Feels disconnected or discouraged by traditional church

  • Wants to deepen their personal or family worship

  • Is exploring what it means to follow Jesus without the noise

  • Believes that the church is more than a building

Whether you're in a season of rest, healing, questioning, or growth, these posts are here to walk with you.

When & Where?

A new Gathering post is published every Sunday morning, right here on the blog.

You can follow along weekly or go at your own pace. Each one stands on its own, but taken together they gently guide you through themes of faith, renewal, discipleship, and truth.

You don’t need a stage or a sermon to meet with God. He meets you wherever you are. These Gathering posts are just a tool to help you draw closer to Him, one week at a time.

Being on fire for Jesus feels amazing—until it doesn’t. At first, you feel unstoppable. Your eyes have been opened, your heart is burning, and you want to live out your faith in a real, tangible way . But then, you hit resistance. Not from unbelievers, but from fellow believers. Why Are People Threatened by Passion? Many people feel threatened when they see someone on fire for Jesus. Instead of encouraging that fire, they step in to stop it . Once you recognize the shortcomings in how we “do church,” it’s tempting to immediately start pointing them out to your church family and leadership. I’ve been there.
